Hi James…loved this episode, as I do all of them. I want to mention specifically your comments about age. I am older than almost all podcasters, but this community is so unique and wonderful by their total inclusiveness of all of us. I feel like a friend to many

    • James says:

Sounds like we need a podcast from our knitting elders – any volunteers? Gina?

The friendliness of this community is continually inspiring & healing.

      • Gina says:

OMG James! I started reading this email and a few words in I shouted, ‘That’s me!”. I appreciate your addressing this issue, even though I hate being classified an “elder knitter”. I haven’t considered doing a podcast because I can’t imagine I’d have enough of interest to say. The purpose of my message was to thank you personally for your acceptance and to show my appreciation for the inclusiveness of the knitting community. Even though the preponderance of podcasters are 30-ish and younger, it doesn’t really matter because first and foremost we all share a passion for knitting and or crochet. We share that bond, regardless of how old we are, where we live, or any other differences we might have. I like to think that Cara for instance likes talking to me on instagram. I love talking to her….and she’s a bit younger than my daughter. So, the point isn’t needing older podcasters, it’s gratitude for the podcasters we now have!
